What's the difference between starting a videoconference
and a webcam? Does webcam have no sound?
Thanks

Greetings Keith,
The "webcam" feature is a Logitech-based component, which no, does not have sound on by
default (if, after you initiate the webcam, you choose Audio, you can run Audio at the same
time as well). The "video conference" feature is the same as previous versions of Messenger
on Windows XP (the equivalent to the 'Start Camera'). In general, the "webcam" has better
image quality, whereas "video conference" has a better framerate.

Greetings Inferno,
No, The Video Conference feature uses ports 5004 through 65535 (randomly) and depending on
your contact (if they're using MSN Messenger 6, if they're behind a router, etc.) you will
need Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) support in your router or some type of built-in Messenger
support. You may need to check for a firmware update for your router from your router
manufacturer in order to allow your router to support UPnP.
