I am a new xp user having had it a total of 2 days now.
While trying to change colors and tweak the display a
little I seem to have done something to my settings
somewhere. I have all the text and pictures but it is on
an annoying bright white background, or whatever color I
make it, but heres the kicker, the fonts seem to be too
large, and bold, and on pages where there should be lines
displayed in-between items (like on ebay, under "items
that you are watching") there is just a hint of a shadow
of a line. I have gone batty trying to figure out what I
did, short of rewiping my hard drive and re-installing
everything is there a solution somebody has for me?

Hi Teejayem,
You have turned on some of the Accessibility settings.
Open Control Panel and sellect Accessibility Options.
Click on the Display Tab and uncheck " Use High Contrast "
