Dear All

I am trying to install a software for engineering
calculation designed by a professor...

My friends have been using it on a WinMe machine whithout
any kind
of problem...someone of them also on Win98.

I tried to install it on my WinXp Home,
and after running successfully the installation process,
as soon as I try to run for the first time the software I
get
the following message:

"The attached hardware lock is not compatible
with "program name".Please connect the correct hardware
lock".

I tried to use the wizard program compability set on WinMe
when installing it, but I got that same message...

I disabled the Lan, Wireless connection, Ir port, cause I
thought It was something related to them but nothing, I
goet that same error message again.

That software has no lock and it doesn't required any kind
of dongle or devices like that to be put on the parallel
or USB port to work.

I think that somewhere (I am a new user of WinXP) there
might be some settings to be adjust to run it correctly,
but I really don't know what to do...
to fix the problem.

Please is there anyone who's willing to help me in solving
that problem or giving me any kind of advice?

Many thanks in advance for reading this and perhaps in
answering me

Yours

Alberto

Does the Software manufacturer have a web page you could visit, they may
have a FA section that answers you question better.
