Last week my computer got a Trojan virus that was
disinfected by Panda. My prior virus protection did not
detect virus. I had so many problems after virus and
nothing gave me my system speed back. I finally did a
repair re-installation. Everything appears normal speed
and working okay except IE. I have installed all MS
updates and service packs. I have Duron 800 Mhz with 128
mb ram. I use incredimail for my email and have a DSL
connection if that's relative info.
My IE home page default cannot be changed. I cannot
change security settings, they revert back to disabled on
all options. My IE search doesn't work now or the
history. My Favorites are still present and do work. I
cannot download files to troubleshoot. I sometimes get
an identity error message when trying to open an email
attachment. I really need to download my firewall
protections program. Also I get bombarded with about the
same 6-8 pop ups over and over again and my pop up
stopper program is not working. Driving me nuts. I
decided a way around would be to put these site names on
my block list but that will not take either. Have I been
hijacked? Please help!
