I am trying to set up remote access to my 'friend' to get
help with my computer problems. I get stuck and can't
complete the set up.

Any idea what I am missing.

Hi Jack

Do you mean remote assistance? If so go to control panel, open system, and
on the remote tab tic the
box allow remote assistance
then you must ask the friend for assistance, to do this go to, star
button, help and support, ask for assistance
invite a friend to connect to your computer with remote assistance
or in windows messenger or msn messenger under actions ask for remote
assistance
