I sent a response back to you when you sent instructions
of how to "fix" my inability to connect to other
computers outside our network. I followed your
instructions but I didn't find a tab labeled "internet
gateway" anywhere.
We have Xp Pro, and cable access which I din't explain
before.
I'm still going crazy here....Help.

Greetings,
Then Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) is not enabled in your router, which is required for
voice/video capabilities through a router on Windows Messenger and MSN Messenger 4/5.
Firstly, make sure you have the latest firmware installed:
http://www.linksys.com/download/firmware.asp?fwid=1
Then, go into the router configuration (usually http://192.168.1.1, login blank, password
admin, unless you've changed it). Then click the Password tab, and make sure that the toggle
for UPnP Services is on. Then reboot your PC (you should now see the Internet Gateway) and
try a voice/video conversation again.
