Hello. For some reasons, until yesterday, I didn't have
the Messenger service.
After importing some Reg file I do have it but when I try
to start it in the services window (It does not start by
default) it gives me an error saying:
->
could not start the messenger service on local computer.
Error 1075: The dependecy service does not exist or has
been marked for deletion.
->

Same when I try to start it through command.
Arrrr....

Greetings Dan,

The Messenger Service requires a number of other basic services in order to start.

To check to make sure you have the proper services installed, click Start, then Run, enter
"services.msc" and click OK. Then look for the following services in the list:
Plug and Play
Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
Workstation

They should all be started. If they're not, start them (most likely you'll get an error
message, paste it back here) or if they're missing, I can make you a quick .reg file to bring
them back.
