View Full Version : Synchronizing Folder Contents on Two Networked Computers

I have a small wireless network here at home, and often need to synchronize
the contents of a particular folder, so that the file contents will be
identical. I have tried a commercial program called PC Sync, but it is buggy
and often shows identical files as being different. Also, sometimes when
trying to drag and drop a file from one computer to another, I get a message
saying that the file cannot be copied because of permission problems. This,
even though I have copied other files from the same folder without problem.
I am running a mixed Windows XP Professional and Windows XP Home
environment. Thank you!

Are both computers in the same workgroup? Also make sure that they both have
the same account to access the shared folder. You can also choose to make
it availible offline, which will sync folders as well.
