XP Pro keeps rebooting!

A freind of mine lent me XP pro upgrade to install over
98'. Everything went fine but when i boot up the computer
will reboot 2 or 3 times. What tha! Everything works fine
after that though.
AMD XP1800+
512mb DDR ram
40gb hdd

Did you have to activate it or anything? It might be related to this being
an illegal copy you have used :) And from what I've seen in the past on
these message boards, people aren't willing to help out in these cases. I'd
say purchase a copy of XP pro and re-install, then get back to us.
