file blocking

I have Window XP and I use outlook express for email.I
cant recieve certain file types via email for example .exe
files.I was thinking there might be some tpye of security
function enabled to block certain file types but I cant
figure it out.

Yes there are security settings, the settings are in outlook express
settings.

Greetings Dave,

This is just a new security feature in Outlook Express that you can easily turn off. To do
so, click the Tools menu in Outlook Express, then Options, then the Security tab, uncheck 'Do
not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus' and then click
OK.
