Desperate for help getting photos onto a web page!

Please could anyone tell me how to get a photo onto a web
page? I can take the photo from my digital camera and
save it into a file on my computer but I cannot work out
EXACTLY what I should be typing into the browser bar to
tell the web page (e.g. Amazon or Ebay) where to find the
picture. I think this is the only thing I am doing
wrong...going quite mad with it now as none of the on
screen help areas tell me just that on little bit of
information..what to type in. Any help would be greatly
appreciated and save my sanity!

Hi,

Although this is a MSN/Windows Messenger newsgroup, here is how:
Create a new txt file in notepad.
Upload your picture onto the server.
Type: <img src="FULL-PATH"> where FULL-PATH is the full path to the image-
eg. "http://www.somesite.com/IMAGE.jpg"
Save your file with a extension of .htm
Upload your htm file to the server
Open the htm file in IE.
PS. I didn't know why you said "eg. Amazon or eBay".... you can't modify
files that Amazon uses... also Amazon won't "find" your picture.

Be sure to keep your own copies in case the web company goes bust and you
can't get them back.
