Problemwith Norton Antivirus after installing Winddows XP

After I upgraded to Windows XP from Windows ME, Norton
Antivirus did not open during startup, and it
needed "navapsvc.exe" to enable Auto-Protect, but didn't
before. Also I tried to uninstall but it says "Error
1606. Could not access network location <Common
Administrative Tools>.All users\.

Which version of Norton Antivirus did you have installed? Symantec says
that no version of NAV previous to NAV2003 is supported on Windows XP.

If you have Norton Anti-Virus 2003
You need to uninstall* then reinstall it. This way the software the
can update the correct files.

*you may need to uninstall from windows xp safe mode.
