Hi All,
After many hours of searching I found answer (in this NG but to
different question). It seems many people have this problem so I am posting
this for future reference.
If right click My Computer>Properties and select System Restore tab would
get error in srrstr.dll. Also if I selected System Restore wizard from
Control Panel would get rstrui.exe crash error with a side helping of
srrstr.dll. In looking for answer, most advice was to run sfc /scannow,
which I did, but did not fix. Replacing the (many) files did not help.
The fix is: Find C:\Windows\inf\SR.ini and right click to select "install".
Be sure to have your WinXP CD ready.
