I was just wondering how secure Messenger is. If I'm at
work and use Messenger to talk with someone can the
Network Administrator track the conversation?

Messenger does not encrypt conversations, and as such, yes, depending on how the network is
setup, the Network Administrator may be able to record/read your conversations.

If security is important to you, a third-party solution like Encrypted Messenger may help:
