Hi,

I just upgraded to MSN messenger 6 and im having trouble
signing in. whenever i sign in, i get the message

"Sorry, we could not sign you in because the sign-in name
you entered does not exist or your password is incorrect.

If you have forgotten your password, please click Help in
the main Messenger window, and then click help Topics for
instructions on resetting your password."

Here are the things i did to try to resolve my problem:
1. First thing i did was to try to log in to my Hotmail
account to make sure that my login name and password are
working. They are.

2. I try to log in to MSN messenger 6 again. I get the
same error message.

3. So i follow the instructions and click on 'Reset a
forgotten Passport password' link to reset it. I now have
a new password.

4. I log in to my hotmail account. No problem here.

5. I log in to MSN messenger 6. I still get the invalid
name or password message.

I did not save the installer for MSN 4.7 or 5, whichever i
was using before MSN 6, so I installed MSN 4 for the
meantime. I'd appreciate your input regarding this. I want
to use MSN messenger 6! Thanks! =)

Ahhhh!

I know why.

one of your settings in internet explorer must be turned off to log-in
everytime.

Its in internet explorer's advanced tab in the settings options.

'Check Revocation Certficate' or something simular.
