(msn) new account e-mail name rejected

just reinstalled xp with tech support.upon entering my
2nd e-mail name, a message appears saying only letters
and numbers are to be used.letters are all i used.tried a
couple more times.same results. any help would be greatly
appreciated.

This is correct, only alphanumeric characters are allowed, what are you trying to type in?
