My question is what settings do I have to save? I would think that if I
change NIC's and install the drivers Windows would be smart enough to change
all my settings to the new card. But from experience with Windows, I've
learned that Microsoft's programmers don't always make it easy for us users.
Windows might look at it as a second LAN and change the name of my computer
or workgroup, try to connect to the original NIC for access to the internet,
not allow others on my network to access my shared folders, etc.
