Is there a way to get rid of that annoying clicking sound that comes through
the speakers every time I click on a link or when an interactive page
refreshes? I never heard this sound with my old Win98 computer. Thanks.

Go to the Control Panel and choose Sounds and Audio Devices. Then choose
the Sounds tab. There is a whole list of sound events there - I turned over
half of mine off. Good luck!

Thank you all for your responses. I was able to stop that "click". In
Control Panel/Sounds there are 2 items from which I removed the sounds
completely by choosing "none". The first is "menu command" under the
Windows heading, and the second is "start navigation" under the Windows
Explorer heading. I believe the "start navigation" was the real culprit.
It's so nice not to hear that dratted click click click anymore.
