stop the pop-ups

Follow these steps

Push "Start"
Push "Control Panel"
Double click "Administrative Tools"
Double click "Services"
Double click "Messenger"
Under start-up Type change the dropdown box to say
disabled instead of Automatic.
Under Service status click the "stop" Button
Click "apply" and "OK"
