View Full Version : Windows XP Upgrade

I recently upgraded from Microsoft Windows 98 to Windows
XP and have two problems that I do ot seem to be able to
resolve:
1) The shut down procedure no longer works - merely
reboots. I have to disconect power to the computer to
shut down the system.
2) Windows XP will not recognize a newly added Belden USB
2.0 5-port PCI card (even after downloading Service Pack
1 from Microsoft). I have verified proper seating of the
card, placed in a known working PCI slot (previously used
by an ethernet card), and replaced the USB card on the
chance that it was defective - all to no avail.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I may resolve
these two issues? If so, I would greatly appreciate your
feedback.

Is there an XP driver for that card on Belden's website? You may have to
use that instead of what is in XP.
