My hard drive is partioned with a 'C' drive (OS) and a 'D'
(applications).
Due to bad housekeeping, I had to restore my C drive with a backup
image from 1 month ago. I had made a habit of creating backup images
of both C and D drives, but this time I only had the C drive.
Last week, I had used the Control Panel's Uninstall feature to remove
some programs.
When I restored the C drive image, since it's from last month, the
program I deleted is in the list of installed programs, and when I
tried to Remove it through the control panel, I get a message
something like "Can't locate installation Log" and thereby can't remov
it from the list.
Is there an easy way to remove the "dead" program from the "installed
program list"
I'm thinking I may have to reinstall it to it's former directory and
then remove/uninstall it.
Any thoughts would be helpful.
