Whenever I double click my computer, It hangs for 30-60 secoonds and
displays that it is searching for contents. This has become extremely
frusterating. What can I do?

Disable Windows Image Acquisition ( WIA ) and see if it solves your =
problem.

If you use your computer for digital photography or have a scanner you =
should monitor whether the change has any adverse affect. Don't forget =
you can restore the service temporarily whilst carrying out such =
activities. I use a scanner and have noticed no ill affect. =20

You can access and change services settings:
Click Start, and then click Run.
Type Services.msc and then click OK. The Services window appears.
Locate and select the service that you want to change.
Click Action, and then click Properties.
On the General tab, click the drop-down for the "Start up type" list box =
and change the start up for WIA as needed.=20
Click OK when finished making your changes.

Hope this helps.
