View Full Version : Can't see last line of emails

Hi, I'm a newbie on both XP and newsgroups (what a concept!) and hope
someone can help with what I'm sure is a simple question.

I can't see the last line of my emails, either sent or received. When I
Minimize the screen, I can see it, but I either need to "move" the bottom of
the screen up slightly, or set my preference (somehow) to always open in
Minimized format.

Can anyone help? Thanks!

Put the mouse curser at the bottom of the screen til it changes to a double
arrow. Then hold down left mouse button and drag the window upwards.

Thanks so much for your reply ... I've tried the "dragging" solution, but I
can't get my cursor far enough down to the bottom of the screen to make the
arrow to change to a double arrow. Any ideas on why I can't drag the bottom
of the screen up?

In control panel--display--settings, try setting your screen resolution to
larger numbers, then go back and try dragging the bottom upwards a couple of
inches. Then, reset your screen resolution to what it was. Then you should
be able to drag your window down to where you want it. IE The net result of
doing this is to make the window you want to drag upwards accessable. Post
back if this doesn't solve your problem.

There is also an adjustment on most monitors to size the viewed image and to
center it. Perhaps you should check these adjustments. They will be located
on your monitor and are explained in your monitors manual.

Another way of doing the same thing:
1. Right click task bar and make sure 'lock task bar is NOT checked'
2. Put mouse curser on taskbar (taskbar is bottom blue bar) hold down mouse
key and drag the bar to the left.
3. Adjust the window (drag the bottom of the window upwards)
4. Then put the mouse curser on the taskbar (which is now on the left) and
drag it back down to the bottom.
