How to copy one file to another file

I'm trying to set up XNews.

The instruction is to copy one file to a another similar
file in the program's directory.

Specifically I'm trying to setup .XNewsrc files so that
the same groups are subscribed on all three newservers.
I've set one file up with the groups I want. I would now
like to copy that file to the .XNewsrc files for the other
two servers.

I know how to copy a file. But I don't understand how to
copy a file to another file.
