View Full Version : Windows Messenger signing off

In our Windows 2000 domain, everytime I have to change my
network password (every 3 months due to group policy) my
Windows Messenger service (through Exchange 2000) will
sign off after a period of time and I'm not able to sign
back in. I'll type in my new password and it states it's
incorrect. I have to close Windows Messenger and then re-
open to get it to log back in. Again after a period of
time the same thing will happen. This will happen for
weeks and then one day it starts working again properly
until the next time I have to change my password again.

It's also locking my NT account on the network because
apparently it tries to log on 3 times and can't connect
(after 3 attempts on our network, NT accounts are locked
out for 30 minutes). Does anyone know what is going on
behind the scenes?
