I have a number of XP pro machines running file
synchronization with a win 2k server. The set up seems
fine and everything works (the synchronization I mean) but
at times and for no apparent reason, when a user goes to
save their work, ie, to force synchronization between
workstation and server, the XP machine throws back a
message like "you have lost connection to server X and are
now working offline..." Restoring the connection takes a
matter of seconds and as such does not really cause a
problem (to me) but my users are not happy with the
inconvenience. ANY IDEAS??? Server is patched and up to
date and network seems fine otherwise.
