In setting up a new computer with Windows XP I wrote
document and picture files on CDR from old computer, then
copied them into shared files and my documents files on
new computer.

I get an "Access denied - you do not have permission
to..." when attempting to scan to the old files, to move
them, or to delete them.

They seem to be permanently "Read only" even though I
repeatedly delete the "read only" attribute in
properties.

Any help?

Paul: Thanks. I've printed out the article and will go
from there.
