getting at the text (send and receive)

I want to be able to get at the Text in both the 'Send'
and 'Receive' windows in the new MSN Messenger client
(version 6.0). I had no problem doing it for previous
versions as the window handle was available to each one of
those controls before, but now they are implemented using
some wrapper window class. Is there a new SDK out or
something?
