Maybe someone can help me. When I receive messages that
URL's in them when I click on the URL nothing happens it
works fine for e-mail address but when I am given a URL
to go to a particular web site I click on I double click
on nothing happens. Is this a problem with Outlook
Express or is it a problem with IE Explorer I am using
version 6.026 of IE Explorer and version 6.0 of Outlook
Express. Any suggestions?

Hi Resa,

Close Internet Explorer and Outlook Express if either are open.

Start/run "regsvr32 urlmon.dll" (without the quotes)

Control panel/Internent options/programs tab, click on "reset all web
settings"

Reopen and retry the links in Internet Explorer and Outloook Express.

Nope... no luck.

When I click on a link, a new instance of IE "tries" to open but it just
sits there. If I click on "stop" and then "reload" it will load the page.

Also, I cannot run Windows Update. When I get to the part where the
download progress window appears, it just sits there... it never starts the
data stream.

I believe these issues are related.

Hi,

Reinstall IE6 by pasting this line into a start/run prompt:

rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132
%windir%\Inf\ie.inf

Then drop back and tell us if things work correctly and if you can access
the update site.
