I have a 40gb main drive and a 30gb slaved. My BIOS
recognizes the slaved drive for the correct amount of
space, but Windows XP Pro recognizes it as 1.99gb under
explorer. What do I need to do to correct this
discrepency and gain access to the memory space?

repartition the hard drive. Windows XP is seeing the only partition on the
HD. go to control panel, administrative tools, computer management, disk
management. You will then be allowed to create a new partition to use the
remain of the space or delete the exsisting partition then re - partition
using the full amount. There are various programs such as Partition Magic
from http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;303070.
