sqr - Tx for rapid reply. Unsure which line to edit.
Tried deleting bottom line, C:\$WIN.......... without any
results (even after restarting). So reinstated it. Any
further help would be greatfully received.

Open the file in notepad and cut and paste the lines in here and I will
explain.

this is how my Boot.ini looks... if you want save yours and use mine to see
if it works.
