I have two user registered at MSN (both of them appear in the dropdown list
in the login prompt).
How can I set one of them as the default user so I'll only have to type the
password?

Greetings,

You can't set to the "default", and still have to type in the password. If you want one to
be the default, then just click the 'Automatically sign me in' checkbox (which judging by
your response, is not what you want).
