This is driving me crazy. I've installed XP from scratch
many times, exchanged MB, Processers, and almost every
component and tried windows updates but to no avail. The
program helpctr.exe will go crazy and begin loading
itself util the system runs out of memory due to the
number of processes loaded or will eventually reverse and
remove itself (but will start up again later when I start
a program). It will created between 100 and a 1000
processes before ending. However, it always waits until I
run a program after a fresh boot. There is no rime or
reason that I can think of that this will happen. Has
anyone experienced this? I'm about to go back to Windows
2000. Is there anyway to turn the Help and Support
Console off without creating other pop up errors because
it's turned off?
