View Full Version : windows update for messenger

I do not use the windowsxp messenger services at all, in
fact they are all disabled now. I do however use the
autoupdate with XP, and it often updates my messenger
even though I don't use it. I don't mind that, but the
latest update seems to continue repeating itself once a
day. "Windows Messenger 4.6 Conectivity Update" is the
particular update that my autoupdate seems to be stuck on.
Can anyone help me here? This thing has been doing this
for 2 weeks now, every day!

Greetings Kurt,
To fix this, just simply install the latest version of Windows Messenger (4.7.2009) overtop,
this should convince WindowsUpdate that this is installed.
You can do so here:
http://messenger.microsoft.com/download/download.asp?client=0.
