View Full Version : can't open cd drive

When I put mini-cds in my cd drive, the computer reads
the info and I can copy the contents to my hard drive,
but I can't open the cd tray afterwards. The only way I
can open the tray to access the cd is by rebooting the
computer and pressing the eject button before Windows XP
is fully loaded.

Does anyone have a patch or know of a solution for this?

Thanks,

Lisa

Is it still spinning when it won't open? Listen carefully.

Are they CD-RW disks or just CD-R s?

the disk is not spinning and waiting several minutes (or
hours) doesn't help any.
