After I start my new XP computer in the AM and click on
Outlook Express to see my e-mail, it indicates that it
can't find both the incoming and outgoing servers,
despite being on-line. This occurs even though the e-mail
program was working perfectly prior to shutting it down
the previous evening. I discovered that if I restart the
computer the e-mail program then works. It seems to me
this shouldn't be necessary, especially since no such
procedure is required on my old Windows 98 computer. Can
anyone tell me how the necessity of restarting for OE to
work correctly can be remedied. By the way, before
restarting, if I click on to Internet Explorer it refuses
to come up with the homepage or other sites. After
restarting, no problem.
