and have them do it for me ?
Thanks

You can find floppy drives here: www.compusa.com. If you're not very sure
that you know how to install it, have it professionally installed.

What brand of computer do you have? I am currently looking at 4 different
computers (Dell, Sony, Umax and laptop) and none of them will take a
standard floppy drive. Each has its own bezel, opening mechanism, etc.
If it is a standard 3.5" floppy drive (comes with its own front cover and
fits into a slot in the front of the computer) it is easy to replace by
removing the cover and then the cables and screws that hold it in place and
then reversing the procedure for the new drive. (Make sure the cables are
placed on the drive correctly).
If this is a "special" drive that has been modified by a manufacturer, you
need to contact the computer manufacturer for the replacement drive and
instructions to replace it. (Of course if the machine is still under
warranty, let them come out to replace it).
