new window?

how do you open more than one window on xp home for
Explorer?
i try control n and it does nothing. only pop ups open
more than one window how do i open an extra window at
will?

Ctrl+N opens another window in Internet Explorer, not Windows Explorer.

I think this is what you mean: Open any Windows Explorer window and go to
Tools | Folder Options | Open each folder in its own window.

You mean Windows Explorer?

On your keyboard, press Windows Key + E
