sign in error

When I try to long on with Windows Messager I get this
error. "Signing in to Communications Service failed because
the service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again
later." What is it caused by and can I fix the problem?

Greetings Mike,

I assume you're just trying to sign into the normal Windows Messenger network? (.NET
Messenger). To fix this, click the Tools menu, then select Options. Click the accounts tab
and then click the option button '.NET Passport' under 'Sign in with this account first:'.
Then, uncheck the box 'My contacts include users of a communications service', click OK and
then sign on again.
