Please can you help me to solve this continued recuring
problem. Everytime I connect to the internet I get The
page cannot be displayed. I download the ISP software
again, it seemed better for awhile , now it's returned
saying the same. I've tried everything in your
Troubleshooting Windows XP book, but the problem
persists. I'm getting real fustrated. My pc is 2weeks
old. Can this problem be rectifeid permantley.

Your ISP may be able to help you; ask them.

If the PC has any WEBaccelerator and cache utilities, or a firewall or virus
checker, temporarily disable them, one-by-one, as a test to see if this
affects WEBbrowsing.

Also use Windows FIND tool to search for a file named HOSTS (with NO
extension). If there is such a file, rename that file to HOSTS.BAK. Ignore
any HOSTS files that have an extension.
