Ok...I have a Creative SoundBlaster Audigy2 Plat.
When I initiate a voice chat, I am able to hear the
conversations, however the other person is *NOT* able to
hear me.
My sound hardware test passes flawlessly. I am able to
record and hear myself in all those tests.
To make this even more perplexing is that when in another
voice chat application, such as TeamSpeak I can have a
conversation perfectly. They can hear me and I can hear
them.
Yet once in Messenger, I can hear them, but they cant me.
I have verified nothing is muted, and that the correct
settings are checked. Remember, it passed those tests.
If the mic was wrong, or sound not detected, it would
show me that. PLUS...keep in mind, if any of those
settings were off to begin with, Teamspeak wouldnt
function.
I have verified this must be a problem with me, as nobody
i initiate a voice conversation with is able to hear me.
I am running this all behine a netgear router/switch. I
have no connectivity issues.
Help!!!

You should not be able to hear yourself, your Audio system is misconfigured.
Go to www.meetingbywire.com and read how to set up your Audio system.
However, a quick check is that the microphone should NOT BE CHECKED IN THE
RECORD mode.
