geocities.com keeps asking for me to download Java
Virtual Machine and offers me choice of downloading. When
I click ok I am then taken to Microsofts Update Page and
told that the page I am trying to view requires a later
version of Microsofts Virtual Machine. This I cannot find
anywhere. Microsoft update says it is installed with SP1
but I already have this installed and Updates do not pick
up on it. Any idea's anybody!!

You can get the Sun java VM, from http://java.sun.com or the Microsoft
version from the link that paul posted elsewhere in another reply.
The Sun version is newer and more compliant, the Microsoft version is
faster, but is discontinued.

Machine version 5.0.3810.
