I had a problem and tried to Restore, however, I found that there was only
one Restore point for the current day.
On further investigation, I found the two following messages (1 & 2)
It seems from the logs, that on startup message 1 is logged, then when
startup is finished message 2 is logged. All previous restore points, even
manually made ones have gone.
The space allocation is at maximum 12% for restore on C: drive.
My Computer I relatively new so I have not cluttered the hard drive (110GB
free).

I followed the help link, but there was nothing there.

Just in case anyone come across the same problem, I think I have solved it,
in my case at least.

It seems my hard drive is split, or I have 2?, 115GB NTFS (C:) and 39MB FAT
(D:) , don't know the reason for this, it was like it when I got the machine
and beyond my technical reasoning.
Anyway, in the restore settings both drives where enabled for monitoring, so
when I started my computer the required level of space on the D: fell well
below what was required and suspended both drives, waiting for 200MB of free
space to become available and deleted restore points. Obviously 200MB free
space was/is never going to be available on D: so restore was going to stay
suspended.
I believe that C: is the system drive and the answer to the problem is to
disable monitoring the D: drive, which seems to have worked.
It's a pity that PC World didn't take more care when setting up my Advent
computer so that my valuable initial restore points were not lost!
