View Full Version : System freezes for no reason

At varying intervals - sometimes frequently - my system locks-up completely
and I have to use the reset button.
The problem does not appear to be linked to any particular application or
operation. It can even occur during the final stages of start-up and during
a WinDoctor checking operation. I am running XP Home Edition.
Any advice on how to correct this problem will be most welcome.

The system freezes for no reason "that you are AWARE of", but there is a
reason - usually driver related.
Does the computer run properly in safe mode?

System seems to run ok in safe mode except that ADSL is not activated.
However, problem is very intermittent so this may not prove much.
