I recently installed XP Pro on my Compaq 1200 laptap. I
previously had ME. Since the new installation, the cursor
acts on its own, as if I had clicked it. For example, I
will press the reply button on email and begin to write my
reply. If I didn't take the pointer off the reply button
it will send my reply when I have just begun to write.
Another example, I am reading the headline page of a
newspaper and if the pointer is on the page (as opposed to
being off to the side on the gray area) and it is pointing
to a headline, it will act as if I clicked on it, and
bring up the story that the headline is about. If I leave
the cursor anywhere like above this very spot, it will
start my writing on that spot (like in the middle of a
previous sentence. Is there some driver that I need to
download for my mouse pad that goes with XP, or is there
another solution?
Thank you for your help. This is very frustrating.
