hello. :o) some of my wav files don't play when they're
supposed to. ex: when windows starts and shuts down, and
anything having to do with messenger (new mail, etc.).
but all my aol alerts play when they're supposed to
(welcome, you've got mail, goodbye). other wavs such as
the "click" when clicking on links on the net play when
they're supposed to. yahoo messenger wavs play. it's
just weird, some wavs work fine and some don't. i checked
the sounds to see if somehow they don't have wav files
assigned to them, but they all do. the wav files do play
in media player when opened, so there's nothing corrupt
with the particular files. these wavs used to play fine;
just certain ones quit working one day. obviously my
volumes are fine and none are muted or i wouldn't hear
ANY wavs, but i do hear some. is there anything i'm
overlooking or forgetting to check?? thanks!! :o)

Any chance that the paths have changed for these files? I moved my
..wav files into a subfolder without realizing that XP wouldn't know
where to find them.
