Audio Problem after Service Pack 1 (XP-home)

Gentlepersons:

I have a Toshiba 5105 laptop computer wsith a Yamaha AC-
XG sound driver which has failed. This occurred after
installing Service Pack 1 and other current fix's.

What should my course of action be?

Reinstall lastest sound driver from manufacture's website. Jym
