I currently use W98SE with multiple profiles. One of the disadvantages of
this is that any incoming email messages will be downloaded on whichever
profile is in use. Is there any way to do avoid this in XP?
Thx

Depends on the mail client. However the solution is identical for both 9x
and XP. Simply set everyone up using the same mail store. How difficult this
is, again, depends on the mail client.

See http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_oe.htm for information on how to
share mail, news and settings between users. While this site is primarily
for XP, the instructions are the same.
