I just reinstalled WinXP after a hard disk failure. All
fixes have been applied from the Windows Update site, and
most everything seems to work.

But, I cannot run msinfo32.exe. I click the shortcut, type
msinfo32 in Start/Run, but nothing happens.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Kelly,

Thanks for the reply. I've checked boot.ini - it reads:

[boot loader]
timeout=3D30
default=3Dmulti(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WIND OWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS=3D"Microsoft=20
Windows XP Home Edition" /fastdetect

I don't know what I am looking for here.

I have also applied the registry tweak on line 221 of =20
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm (as=20
suggested by PaulM in his reply, but still no luck.
