Explorer using 99% CPU

Seems to have occured ever since i installed Messenger 6.0, i have an
explorer window or especially a messenger window open, PC starts crawling
along. When i check task manager explorer.exe is pegged @ 99% cpu, i kill
the process and restart, all is fine for a while. Anyone know how i solve
this? Thanks. K
